⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars for Grayson!
After shopping the other big-box golf store in my area, I walked into Golfdom Rockville knowing I needed a senior driver after trying one on the course. Grayson had me demo a few options, and we ultimately landed on a Ping G430 (10.5)—which wasn’t even the club I originally came in for.
Best decision ever.
The very next round, my drives were straighter, longer, and for the first time in a while, I felt confident swinging the club instead of embarrassed.
I’ll be back soon for a fairway wood and will absolutely work with Grayson again without hesitation.

I had an exceptional club fitting with Jim Donatello at Golfdom. Jim’s diagnostic ability is truly elite. After only my second swing with my existing 7-iron, he identified that the lie angle was too incorrect for me, which was directly affecting face orientation at impact, dynamic turf interaction, and ultimately resulting in a measurable loss of distance.
What impressed me most was how efficiently Jim differentiated between swing-mechanic variables and equipment-driven problems. Rather than making assumptions, he used a combination of ball-flight data, dynamic lie readings, swing-path analysis, and strike pattern evaluation to determine whether inconsistencies were originating from my technique or from the club itself. Within minutes, he isolated the root cause and clearly explained how the incorrect lie angle was influencing both my start line and energy transfer at impact.
Jim then walked me through a systematic evaluation of how proper lie angle, shaft profile, and head design should complement the way my swing naturally loads and delivers the club. His use of time was incredibly effective—he didn’t waste a single minute, yet never rushed any part of the process. Every test, adjustment, and explanation had purpose.
This was one of the most thorough, technically sound fittings I’ve experienced. If you’re serious about maximizing performance and want someone who can precisely separate swing mechanics issues from equipment limitations, Jim is the person to see. Highly recommend GOLFDOM in ROCKVILLE!!!!!

Great experience shopping here, first time customer and brand new golfer.
I was looking for new grips for my used clubs and Grayson” apologies if spelling wrong” was great to talk with and went over the grips and explained sizing and types of grips to me, and he assisted me with picking the best ones for me without pushing anything on me either.
I was passing thru for work but would definitely stop here again if in the area!

Great service and staff are SUPER knowledgeable about golf. Went in today to find a hybrid and Graystone helped me try out several options. Wow this guy knows his stuff! Using the similator we tried several options & honed in on the best option. Graystone also found my golf bag previously that no other golf store could help me get. Shocked that PTS could not, as big as they are (PTS store near me is 7X bigger at least than the Golfdom store. Not GG or DSP could get it for me either. Internet searches didn't get good results, which was odd, but Grayston found one in a California store and had it for me in 3 or 4 days to Maryland. Wow! Service here is amazing.

Very helpful with everything and they actually care. I’m new to golf and they really helped me with buying clubs and even helped me with my swing. Definitely recommend these guys.
this is a hidden secret in Rockville if you need golf equipment, this is the place to go an amazing selection of apparel. The staff is super friendly. I love this place. If you’re a golfer like me, don’t miss it. Randy, the store manager was super helpful and answered all my questions.
I haven't played golf in years but wanted to get back into it. I looked at some equipment online but wanted to see it in person before buying, get some expert advice, and get fitted. I had a really great experience at Golfdom and will definitely be returning. Golfdom will be my go-to for equipment and getting fitted. Thanks especially to Randy but also other staff who helped.

Please add my name to what I'm sure is a growing list of Greyson and his golf acumen at Golfdom. I spent probably a total of 2 hours with this guy helping me choose a new set of irons and taking me through step-by-step analysis of my swing speed and about 1000 other data points before choosing my new clubs. An A+++, highly recommend him and Golfdom in general over the PGA Store.

The staff here was sooooo helpful. My husband went in to upgrade his left-handed irons and this was the first place that had an abundance of options for him. They also did a gold fitting for him and gave him a very honest critique and plan forward for his game. Randy was so gracious with his knowledge and time, we will definitely be returning for all golf needs. They know their stuff! Don’t be afraid if you’re just a beginner or if you’re a season professional they can help you out!
Exceptional staff and customer service. Store manager Randy and his team are very customer service oriented and are very very helpful - Thank you. Great place to shop excellent selection and sales. Special mention - Jim Donatelli, go see him for club fitting worked with Jim twice now and all I can say is he is just fantastic - Thank you Jim.

Highly recommend Jim at the Rockville Golfdom location for custom fitting.
He was very patient with me during the entire process and does not rush the process. He explained all of the numbers after each swing, and compared them to where we want them to be. He does not push any specific manufacturer, and gives recommendations to help improve your game. Will use his services again in the future.
One of my friends got a really cute top and skort from here so I decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by 3 gentlemen. Rob was one of the gentlemen that helped me,he was super attentive and helpful. I tried on a couple pair of shoes but wasn’t sure how I felt about them. Rob told me to come over to the fitting area and swing a club and see how I feel in them. He went the extra mile just to make sure I would be happy with shoes. Rob provides top notch customer service and I’ll be sure to come back to Golfdom!

I needed to cut down my irons and wanted to save the grips as they were rather new. I went to PGA Superstore and was quoted $70 and potential additional costs to buy new grips if they accidentally ripped the grips in the process. After, I came to Golfdom where I spoke to Jim. Jim was amazing, quoted me $35 and told me he would be able to save every grip, and that it was nothing to worry about. There are places out there that just want to make money, this isn’t one of them. The employees love the game of golf and want people to enjoy it. They understand it’s an expensive sport and want to provide more affordable solutions. I’ll be coming back to Golfdom for any and all of my golfing needs.

Edit: Had an issue that the GM reached out to ensure it was successfully resolved. Came to return an item, gave me a gift card with what the website said has 0.0 dollars on it. After trying again it worked to load the balance properly; if your gift card is reading as blank just try again until it loads the correct balance.

I want to let other golfers know how happy I am with my driver fitting with Jim Donatelli (Master Fitter), at the Rockville Golfdom location. From the start, it was obvious that Jim knew what he was doing, and that he has many years of club fitting experience. He asked what I wanted out of the fitting, and made sure the fitting was geared towards my goals. He was very patient with me during the entire process. I score in the high 80’s, and Jim realized this quickly and geared the process and clubs towards me.
Jim described the technology used during the fitting, and how it helps determine the results. He explained all of the numbers after each swing, and compared them to where we wanted to be. Jim got me to my target numbers by experimenting with many different shaft and head combinations. No specific club or manufacturer was pushed on me.
I am extremely happy with my fitting, and am looking forward to using my new driver. I highly recommend visiting Jim if you need a club fitting. From now on, I will go nowhere else.
Jim and the entire Golfdom staff are top notch. In a recent circumstance, I needed to have my entire iron set trimmed and re-gripped in short notice - not only did Jim get this done quickly, he had it done within a matter of hours! On one visit, I explained some of the putting issues I had been having, and he took the time out to give me a 45 minute quasi-lesson on putting, complete with drills and all. To this day, probably the most valuable lesson I have had pertaining to golf. Whether you new to the game, or have been playing for years, look no further than this Golfdom location for sound, knowledgeable advice, top of the line products, services, and a wonderful staff. They now have a customer for life in me!
